Jerry & Mary Ann Maiers recently hosted a wonderful event supporting John Mogk and his campaign to unseat Rep. Paul Ryan in Wisconsin's 1st Congressional District.
John continues attracting new interest to his campaign, and reinforces people's support with his focus on the issues, and common sense ideas for Congress.
Holiday Parades
The campaign was represented at Fourth of July events in Kenosha, Racine, Somers, Sturtevant, and Twin Lakes. John and the campaign had great receptions everywhere we visited.
The 1st CD is definitely interested in change, and more people are agreeing that John Mogk is the change that will bring great results and truly represent the interests of southeast Wisconsin.
Join John for a Wine Tour of his Homeland
On June 26, John shared his German and Italian heritage during a fundraiser at Sommelier wine shop in downtown Kenosha.
He was joined by supporters, friends, the press, and new well-wishers. John had the opportunity to listen to citizen concerns. Discussions ranged from health care, to the war, to what fish to serve with the white wine.

Supporters were interested in John's ideas and passion for bringing a common sense approach to Congress.

Democratic State Convention - Stevens Point
On June 13-14, John joined hundreds of democrats from around Wisconsin, braving floods and closed highways, to celebrate a year of accomplishments and prepare for great success this fall.
His entry in the race was positively received and encouraged by attendees. As word spread, crowds gathered at his booth. John was interrupted by applause many times during his convention speech on Saturday. He was also interviewed for The Lee Rayburn Show on Madison's Air America, and the only 1st CD candidate featured on WisconsinEye television with Craig Sauer.

Many attendees were encouraged by and embraced John's entry into the race to represent the people of Wisconsin's 1st CD.
Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton visited John at his booth on the convention's first day.
John was the only 1st CD candidate featured on WisconsinEye. Watch his interview with Craig Sauer. John's candidate speech on Saturday morning was also a hit with the crowd! The speech is available within a continuous video feed.
